Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience to join?

Not at all. Our classes are beginner-friendly, and we welcome students of all levels. You'll start with the basics and progress at your own pace, with guidance from experienced instructors.

What should I wear to my first class?

You can wear comfortable gym clothes like a t-shirt and tracksuit pants. We train barefoot on mats, and no special equipment is needed for your first session. Uniforms can be ordered once you sign up.

Is there sparring involved?

Yes, but only when you're ready. Sparring is introduced in a controlled, respectful environment and is always optional for beginners. Safety gear is used, and techniques are practiced progressively.

Do I need to be fit or flexible to start?

No. Our training is designed to improve your fitness, strength, and flexibility over time. Many students start with little or no fitness background — and that's perfectly okay.

Can I just come and watch a class?

We recommend booking a free intro class and experiencing it yourself — but you’re welcome to watch if you prefer. Just let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate you.
